… if you’ve figured out a way in which blogging is not self-important…I’d really like to hear it? Seriously.

We’ll know the Internet has matured when when we synonymize weblogging with writing. Is there a way in which “writing” is not self-important?

Sure. Refrigerator repair manuals and textbooks exist next to diaries and magazines and Supreme Court opinions.

Once more for the cheap seats: it’s a web-log. It’s simply a record of things one chooses to put on the Internet, with as many purposes as when we apply ink to paper.
